This pic forms the right side of a panorama left www.flickr.com/photos/powerhouse_museum/2447211173/ middle www.flickr.com/photos/powerhouse_museum/2451472036/ trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/165386803 - the panorama appeared in the Sydney Mail, 30th January, 1907, in a pictorial feature on the 1906-07 harvest...per the Sydney Mail the location was Ross brothers' farm at Comabella, near Wellington, in central western NSW.

If that is the Station building in the background, this was taken in or around Abbey Farm. They are all wearing Home Rule badges.

I don't think it's a hunt, but instead some sort of Home Rule events like a demonstration. The badges (?) say "Home Rule Committee" on them, so I think they are some of the marshals for the parade/demonstration.
