This could be the Helen Boyle who was paroled in June 1919 after serving 9 years out of a 25-year sentence for kidnapping a child for ransom. See Evening star., June 27, 1919, Page 5, top of column 1. chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn83045462/1919-06-27/ed-...

www.newspapers.com/newspage/49756196/ has a photo that confirms that this is the same Helen Boyle. As does the Washington Times., May 09, 1909, Sunday Evening Edition, Page 4 chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn84026749/1909-05-09/ed-... with a photo that looks to be in the same dress as shown here. It seems possible that these are photos from 1909 that Bain either acquired or dug out in 1919 when she was paroled.

If photo serial number 4956-5 was most likely taken (and or published) on Nov. 19, 1924. Think we should assume that the photo here posted were taken and or publishen on the same date.

The dates on Bain photos may be when they were taken or when they were published or re-published. In November 1924, Helen Boyle was in the news again, seeking full release from her sentence.
