    Remarkably unchanged over the years, most of the buildings still stand. Hard to believe that a small street designed for the horse and cart a century ago today serves as part of the N84 Galway/Castlebar main road with all its heavy traffic. The modern street view looks a lot cleaner than the rather squalid looking street of the photo, despite modern pollution.
