Heinkel, He 111

Wasn't this plane the earliest version of Heinkel HE 111? However, as according to certain sources, Germany's Nazi Government had sold quite a few examples of this version of Heinkel HE 111 to the Republic of China Air Force, instead of utilising them for Germany's own air force (The Luftwaffe). Because back then, Hitler had actually felt this version of Heinkel HE 111 was not suitable for Germany's own usage. Therefore, he had sold quite a few of such planes to the Republic of China (under the rule of Chiang Kai Shek), which was then friendly towards Germany, in exchange for money. Was that true or just another post-war urban legend fabricated by the Allied Powers?

A burned out He 111 H wreck, possibly from KG 26. Looks like it has their "meander type" of camouflage. Stig
