The windmill comes from Illinois, USA. Can anyone read the vane?

It's a "HALLADAY" pump from this company - www.bataviahistoricalsociety.org/exhibits-collections/com... "By 1881, the company was called the largest institution of its kind in the world."

I love this one, such a tranquil scene and so very atmospheric. The two waiting to go out fishing, the long well constructed rowing boats their rowlocks standing out clearly and refelectd in the still water, the little steam pinnace all covered up for the weather and the clarity of the whole thing? This is outstanding! I was wondering if the shade above the stack on the steam boat was early smoke but it is in fact nicely situated weed in the background! Another beauty NLI, so very well chosen to begin our day with!
