    Probably somewhere in Donegal given Dr. Clarkes history. An especially interesting photograph with the chains linking the donkeys which I have never seen before though it does make sense. The one poor old ass would find those heavy rocks a great burden going uphill. Some fine beards on display for Movember and some very well shod boys given the era of the image. Would that indicate that it was winter even though the workman is in shirt sleeves? Where is Annie McGinley when you need her?

    Odd building. No boxed soffits and low pitch roof. Strange layout too. Church, school, convent?? Three grown men and two asses bringing a rock for a walk.

    O Mac Non boxed soffits quite common on buildings of that Victorian/Edwardian era. Also uses less wood so cost saving. It does look ecclesiastical.

    If it's in Donegal, it's not heritage. NIAH doesn't seem to have it under any obvious category. Unless the date is post-1920, I suppose.
