    Here, this is a proof the author labeled the photos somewhat incorrectly! (See my other comment about Alupka.) This is Lastochkino Gnezdo ("Swallow's Nest") and it's not even close to Balaklava, and is about half way between Alupka and Yalta. Modern day considered "Greater Yalta". Balaklava is right near Sevastopol, miles away on the other side of Alupka. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swallow%27s_Nest_(Crimea)

    Nice old shot. I would to see the engine and boiler of the side wheeler. The second boat appears to have one fully shrouded central paddle. Either that or a bunch of junk on the deck with a screw. No other steamers in sight.
