    Think it's this man: tr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halil_Mente%C5%9Fe

pennylrichardsca: The man in this image does resemble the photo of Ottoman Foreign Minister Halil Menteşe in the article you provided. We will add his name to the description when we update the record.

Ishmail Djenani Bey (LOC)

Ismail Djenani (notice spelling without "h") is mentioned in quite a few Google books. For example, books.google.com/books?id=1s8oAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA868 where he is listed as a director of the National Bank of Turkey. Bey after the name is the Turkish form of address equivalent to Mr. in English or -san in Japanese. At this time, Turks would have used arabic script, and so any name in latin script will be a transliteration.
  • Ryan (LOC P&P) said:
Thanks for your research, swanq, and the clarification of the salutation "Bey." We'll add the corrected spelling of the name to the record the next time we update.
