Fairey Firefly AS.Mk.5 (TT.Mk.5) WB271 c/n F8497 '204 K' of the Fleet Air Arm-Royal Navy Historic Flight. Flying for many years as a warbird, this aircraft unfortunately crashed on July 12, 2003 while taking part in the Flying Legends Air Show at Duxford's Imperial War Museum, when it went into a nosedive from which it never recovered, killing Lieutenant Commander Bill Murton, 45, and Neil Rix, 29.

WB271 shows a K on the tailplane which indicates it was one of the aircraft on HMAS Sydney. WB271 was purchased by the Royal Australian Navy FAA in 1949 and disposed of 08 Aug 1966. It was sold by the Department of Supply to the RN FAAM Historical Flight.
