    Rohr had purchased Flxible in 1971. They're the chief competitor of General Motors, who make the above coach. I'm not sure why these photos are in the collection unless it's competitive analysis? Two years later, the system bought a bunch of coaches from Rohr's Flxible Division.

    Compression or tension load? It looks like they're testing Dynarohr, aluminum honeycomb, or inconel honeycomb. I guess, thinking out loud, temerature testing suggests inconel, doesn't it?

    That plastic box may be to contain shrapnel when/if the part under test fails.
