A an article about the New Aviary in Evening Herald (Dublin) - Saturday 29 June 1907:
Dr. R. F. Scarf. hon. sec., stated that he had transferred to the New Aviary on the far aide of the lake a number birds he had recently acquired. which had been in a cage under the Haughton House. while, some alterations were taking place in the Aviary.
That reads to me that the cages under Haughton House were temporary. Possibly. Or possibly not.
Edit: NOT.
