    I think anyone with a rational sense of the way the biosphere operates, would recognise that much was lost when the dairying industry was established in this area.

    This is in later days. Note the corrugated iron roof. Mum and the kids are well dressed. The family owns a buggy. These are not original settlers from the Robinson Acts era, so many of whom gave up and walked off their land.
