I am very glad I came across this wonderfull site full of wonderfull old characters. The pictures deserved to be preserved and seen.

It's really something is'nt it Kookaburra? If you have a look at the site 'Pictures of Interest' you will see some more pictures from the very good National Library of Wales that you may find interesting. If I have my way we will be seeing more from this excellent site.

A regular passenger service from Conway to Trefriw was started in 1847 by the St. George Steam Packet Company. "St. Winifred" was the first paddle steamer, joined in c.1880 by the "St. George".
