    Consolidated B-24H Liberators in the 467th BG including B-24H-20-FO 42-94910 4Z-E+ (foreground) of the 788th BS & B-24H-15-CF 41-29369 "Tender Comrade / Ole 369" of the 791st BS preparing to return to CONUS in May '45. According to the 467th BG website, 41-29369 was lost en-route over Scotland due to structural failure in flight.

    It took a while, but the answer was staring me right in the face. On the largest file, you can just make out the serial number: 42-50414. "Gaw'Gia Peach" was a B-24H assigned to the 831st Bomb Squadron, 485th BG. On 10 August 1944 she crashed 15 miles south of Cerignola. Lib's weren't exactly the best design for a forced landing - and were particularly deadly when it came to ditching.
