Den Nobelfriedenspreis erhielt Theodore Roosevelt in Anerkennung seiner Vermittlung im Russisch-Japanischen Kriege. Er wurde im Jahre 1900 in die Matinecocke Lodge 806 in Oyster Bay auf Long Island aufgenommen und war auch Ehrenmitglied der Loge "Rienzi" in Rom. I have an original lapel button for this campaign with McKinley's photograph and the words "Protection" on top and Home Rule" on the bottom. The button is about 1" in diameter. It was manufactured by Baldwin & Gleason, Ltd., 58 Reade St., NY. Is this of interest to anyone?
