Young Maurice was the youngest grandchild of Queen Victoria, born 1891 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, died at Ypres in 1914 as a lieutenant in the King's Royal Rifle Corps. He was 23. (This photograph shows him younger; he had a mustache when he was in uniform.)
