Douglas/Canadair DC-4

The Rolls-Royce Merlin powered C-4 Argonauts built for BOAC had the dimensions of the DC-4 but some of the features of the DC-6 (e.g pressurization). The similar C-4 North Stars built for Trans Canada Airlines were also pressurized. The North Stars used by the RCAF were unpressurized and some used Douglas Chicago built C-54 fuselages bought as war factory surplus

Thank you for sharing this oldie, DC4M with Merlin engines. Once the proud one of BOAC with registration G-ALHG.

Very interesting photograph. This DC-4M off TCA, mostly with Merlin engines, had propellors with three blades instead of four as shown on this photograph. Anyone who has more info about that?
