Arthur Reynolds was president of the Continental and Commercial National Bank of Chicago in the 1920s. His brother George M. Reynolds was also a banker.

But the Bain photo agency's focus was on news pix related to New York, not Chicago -- and the LOC is currently posting material on Flickr that comes from Bain's 1913 photostream. This is more likely to be Arthur Reynolds, the Broadway actor, who had the role of "Blinker" in a 1913 drama called "The Marriage Market," which opened in New York on September 22, 1913, and continued for 88 performances (in two venues, successively) before closing in December of that year.

And in 1913, he gave an address to the Academy of Political Science in New York, titled "Centralization of Banking and Mobilization of Reserves." It was published in Proceedings of the Academy of Political Science in the City of New York Vol. 4, No. 1 (Oct., 1913): 118-126. So it seems two different men named Arthur Reynolds were making news in New York City in the fall of 1913.
