Skystream was a pioneer in downtown to downtown air service, Chicago-Detroit. This airport was indeed right next to downtown, but Detroit's "downtown" airport was some distance from the city center. Meigs later closed, so even an updated view is no longer possible. I. E. Quastler, the photographer.

I flew for Skystream from 74 to 75 when they ceased ops. They then started up twice more and if the date is correct, I think this is the third and final attempt to become successful.

What a collection of commuter airlines and aircraft I saw at SFO that day! Despite it's name, Air Pacific only served points in the USA, and possibly only in California.
  • Gary C. Orlando said:
Air Pacific was one of the three airlines that were consolidated into Golden Gate Airlines.
