Within Fairmount Park are more than 200 statues. This is Abe Lincoln.

In my opinion, it is most fitting and proper that the 'Father' of our nation (Pres. Washington) and it's savior (Pres. Lincoln) be memorialized in marble in cities throughout the nation. But one thought that crossed my mind while gazing at this image was whether he had visited or at least had some connection with cities that honor him with a monument? His role in our national history is 'monumental' to say the least. Having any connection to this president must be a 'badge of honor' for many municipalities past and present.
