Hello, I believe this should be the USCGC Northwind (WAGB-282). In 1953, the USS Burton Island was cruising in the Arctic and Alaska area, and had a pennant number of AG-88 (and later, as a Coast Guard Cutter, pennanted as WAGB-283). Felipe_Bezerra First landing aboard ship by a USN helicopter was in 1943 ! This one is a Vought-Sikorsky R-5 A. soon to be the 'H'-5 Licence produced in Britain as the Westland Dragonfly. The designation 'H' was given to helicopters from 1949
