VC-2 Fleet Composite Squadron TWO 'Blue Tails' - Code JE. Disestablished in 1980. Could not have been VC-4 which used similar code JF as it was disestablished on April 30, 1971.

March 10, 1975. Grumman US-2C Tracker 133347 suffered an emergency landing on a foam covered runway when it had a landing gear malfunction. Naval Air Station Cubi Point, Republic of the Philippines. Perhaps this is why it is seen back in Continental USA after being returned to a Naval Aviation Rework Facility for major repairs before being shipped back across the Pacific.
