Douglas DC-6A N30006 c/n 42901-153, first flight April 29, 1949. The first DC-6A, registered first to Douglas, then to Slick Airways as N90806. Sold to Transocean Air LInes as "The Royal Hawaiian" and crashed in the Pacific on a Wake-Hawaii flight on 7-12-53. 58 were killed when the aircraft hit the ocean at high speed 343.8 miles east of Wake. They never determined the cause.
