I think the area is Central, the upper photo from the right is Bonham Strand East, Jervois Street, Queen's Road Central.

Bridget Yu I agree about the streets. The decoration over Bonham Strand East very much resembled that seen for the royal visit of Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught, in 1890. Ref The Hong Kong Album 香港歷史圖片 3rd ed 1986 p.57

The arched verandas and neoclassical colonial architecture are characteristic of the city's main commercial district (such as Queen’s Road Central) in that period.
The tall, elaborate bamboo structure spanning the street is a Pai-lau (Ceremonial Arch) or Bamboo Pavilion.
The figures depicted on the pai-lau seem to be characters from a classical Chinese opera or historical legend.

The praya (Des Voeux Road), looking west. Where the street makes a bend (near the 2 storeyed building on the left) should be the junction with Ice House Street. Near the centre of the photo should be Peddar Street. The 6 storey HK Hotel is not yet built. The Central reclamation (out to Connaught Road) in the 1890's also not yet seen.

The island behind the ships is likely Stonecutters. Then the foreground is likely Shek Tong Tsui
