The photo is from on top of the 'Trust Building', at the south east corner of King and Castlereagh Streets. Built 1916, and the 'Daily Telegraph' moved out in 1929.

Script title says September 1870 (see note). Educated guess - photographer is Charles Pickering, under the direction of James Barnet, who is probably one of those gents with a top hat.
