    Jenyns Corsets were unique products used for surgical and hygienic purposes. This was one of the oldest fashion lines running in Queensland. Many women were happy wearing it.

    The 2nd sister died about a year after the first, also of tuberculosis.

    The young model does not appear to be very matronly! Perhaps that is the point of the advertisement. Look younger with a Jenyns corset. Expectations of women have not changed that much over the years!
