I reckon from the tower of St Andrew's Church at Holborn Circus, see GoogleMapsSatellite . If you then go to the GoogleEarth plugin enable 3D and wiggle it around until you are on top of the church tower - aim SE towards St Pauls, and the Cathedral looks as in this photo. I can't think of any other buildings around at the time which might have been tall enough, unless it was another chimney. Chim chiminey, Chim chiminey, Chim chim cher-ee! It looks as though this would be close to St. Paul's in the City of London. www.angelfire.com/pr/perfinsoc/abstracts/2455.pdf has some history of the firm. According to www.westminster-abbey.org/our-history/people/george-williams the firm only closed in 1984, but that doesn't mean the building existed until then.

The service was attended by King George and Queen Mary, but this is not their carriage, which was open. Perhaps this is the Lord Mayor's carriage.

This is a pseudo stereo pair. A single camera has been used on a tripod, but the photographer has not moved the camera sideways between exposures. Some chimney shadows have moved between exposures. You can take stereos with any single camera, providing the subject is not moving. If you rig up 2 identical cameras side-by-side you can take stereos of moving objects.
