    The correct spelling is "Stortingsbygningen" - The Norwegian Parliament Building

    The contemporary spelling is Stortinget/Stortingsbygningen, but the old one is Storthinget, according to Ivar Aasen But of course, for searching Flickr, Stortinget is the best spelling. Here is some more images of Stortinget This photo, btw, is probably taken from Grand Hotel. Here is the relation between these two buildings sorrounding Eidsvolls Plass (square) So this image of Grand Hotel on Karl Johans Gate (usually called Karl Johan), in your collection is taken from Stortinget. And thanks for a super stream and sharing these photos! Please encourage every other library and museum.

    The Parliament building was finished in 1866. The Freemasons building, as mentioned, was build somewhere mid 1890's so the photo was probably taken late 1890's.
