Atlas Collection Image

I believe this is a display model of a proposed lifting body and reusable Atlas booster as mentioned below. I've added it to a gallery with other pictures of the same model. "During 1957 Convair began participating in the Air Force SR-89774 study of reusable space boosters that lasted through 1965. To allow the reuse, a 51-foot span swept wing complete with end-plate vertical stabilizers and four General Electric CL-610 [sic*] turbojet engines was grafted onto the Atlas booster." To Reach the High Frontier: A History of U.S. Launch Vehicles, edited by Roger D. Launius and Dennis R. Jenkins. Lexington: University Press of Kentucky, 2015. *The CJ-610 is probably what's meant, non-afterburning civilian version of the J85 turbojet.
