It arrived in Singapore in 1911 and worked on the Singapore Government Railway between Pasir Panjang and Woodlands. The FMSR took over the working of the line in 1912 and purchased it outright a few years later, the locomotive then having their number 130 in their B class. In 1923 the Singapore line became connected to the Malayan mainland following the building of the Johore Causeway and the locomotive became surplus to requirements and was sold to Malayan Collieries at Batu Arang as their No 1 in May 1923. The mine was severely damaged during the Japanese occupation and closed in 1960 when everything was abandoned and much of the mining area became flooded.
