    grytlappar: Guess it could be confusing with the handwriting... Actually, someone less considerate has written with ink on the emulsion side of the glass plate negative. When scanning the negative correctly, the handwriting is then shown backwards as you have noticed. The text says: "Skederids sn. Uppland" ("Skederid parish, Uppland".) It's quite common to find some kind of writing on the old glass plate negatives. A kind of documentation of how photography was ranked in the archives way back in time = not always so high... /Anna B.
