Walter Kierzkowski & Joseph Senese (O&W Historical Society Society Divisional Rep of the Port jervis & Monticello branch) tell me the date of the wreck was 1 March 1914. The O&W leased the PJ&M trackage in 1902 and formally accessioned it in 1905. Joseph Senese: "In 1902 the NYO&W leased the branch ( at that time it was the Port Jervis Monticello & Summitville. That was only on paper) for 50 years. Between 1902 and 1904 the O&W did significant upgrades to the line and in 1905 it was officially the Port Jervis & Monticello branch. The Kingston branch was always it's own branch. "The branch was 3 other different railroads prior to the PJM&S (1901 1902) the first was Monticello & Port Jervis, the second was Port Jervis & Monticello, and the 3rd was Port Jervis Monticello & New York. It was only PJM&S those 2 years on paper when they leased it out for 50 years."
