These pictures are great. I guess this is an very early Mainframe. Very different to the current range of Blade servers :). Thank you for the pictures.

lighting is great. anyone know how it's accomplished? bare bulb? parabolic?

That's not even a true computer; it's a punched-card tabulating machine that is programmed by means of attaching patch cables to the board that the woman is inserting into the machine.

there ws no real electronic flash at that time -most of the stuff was done with 500Watt & up bulbs -the way it looks, the print was burned in at the corners in the print darkroom -or the photographer used a baffled reflector for taking the picture- my guess is f16 or 22 on a roughly 31/2 to 4 1/2 inch lens -one of the early wideangles for that film format.but -I am guessing a bit.

Love the lady's attire. Don't see many dress like that in the computer industry these days.
