The shoreline is the (west) Pacific Ocean side of Point Loma (San Diego, California); Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery is at the top, right side of the photo. San Diego Bay, on the other side of Point Loma, was used to for Convair seaplanes launch, take-off, and recovery.
