    P-51B without any unit code. By the time this photo was taken the B/C models had more or less been replaced by the D/K models, so most likely a "hack" somewhere.... Could be Folkingham, England 1944 or Achiet in France 1945 Stig

P-51 "Mustang" fighter in flight, Inglewood, Calif. The "Mustang", built by North American Aviation, Incorporated, is the only American-built fighter used by the Royal Air Force of Great Britain (LOC)

    That cannot be Inglewood there aren't mountains there (it is in Los Angeles proper), it could be Idlewild though in the San Jacinto Mountains.
