Based on the Thunderbolt parked next to it, this photo was taken at the Planes of Fame Airshow at Chino ca. May '81. The Seversky (later Republic) AT-12 had served many roles in its life: 1st as an interred fighter (J 9) intended for the Swedish AF, later as "YS-114" of the El Salvadoran Air Force, then as the Lowry AFB Base Commander's personal mount, then restored as POF's Guardsman. A rare and beautiful a/c still flying today with the Planes of Fame as NX55539 @ Chino Airport.
