He has a kind , Sweet young face. It was difficult in those days and hopefully his life got better. Suppose he is in Heaven now. Life back then was really hard.

Handsome boy! Stole a violin-imagine...he probably was desperate to play it but couldn't afford it...with more money and opportunity who knows what he may have accomplished.

He is fortunate they only gave him a month. Back then the sentences were harsh. I wonder why he wanted the violin. To sell it or to learn how to play the instrument. Hope he had a good life.
