Lindbergh wrote about meeting these men when he came to San Diego to discuss building this plane in his book We and The Spirit of St. Louis. BF Mahoney had already purchased Ryan Aircraft and Ryan himself had little to do with the building of the Spirit of St Louis. Signature is that of Ryan employee Oliver R. McNeel, who is captured in a number of photos in the SDASM's collection. Here's an example:
