    It appears that Alfonso XIII of Spain had a lot of ships named after him. This is not a warship and I reckon it is likely one of the two steamships mentioned at books.google.com/books?id=uQY4AQAAMAAJ&pg=PA1097&... in Commerce Reports of June 21, 1916. The first sank in 1915 in Santander harbor. The second was bought by the Spanish Compania Transatlantica from the Bermuda-Atlantic Steamship Co. of Toronto. It had been built in 1891 and had an extensive refit and alterations and in June 1916 had just passed her trials for use as a mail and passenger steamer.
