Magee was Secretary of the Red Cross in 1906 And in 1915, he was still in the job, although using "Charles" instead of "Chas" The American Red Cross magazine, Volume 10 books.google.com/books?id=OYdBAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA385&l... georgewbush-whitehouse.archives.gov/history/eeobtour/room... has a picture of Magee and Mabel Boardman (too small for recognition, but compatible with the guy here).

Love the sweaters many of the players are sporting in this era. Hey: somebody should bring out a retro line of these; sporting and practical.

Sherry was just 19 years old when he debuted with the Philadelphia Athletics in 1904. An outfielder, Sherry had his best year in 1910 leading the league in hitting with a .331 average, runs scored with 110 and RBI's with123. Sherry also swiped 49 bases. He finished his 16 year career with a .291 batting average.

Kosh_ms3, I grew up in Philly, playing and watching baseball religiously. When I was fourteen I read about your great, great, great grandfather. My best friend and I adopted him as an immortal baseball legend. We knew everything there was to know about Sherry Magee. I'm now thirty-eight and continue to be a HUGE fan of what he accomplished as a ballplayer. When I found this picture online I immediately had two copies printed, one for myself and one for my childhood friend. The memory of your great, great, great grandfather will live on in our homes for many years to come.

The Lat/long on this map confused me, as it puts the Eastern part of the map in Lake Chad. (I think) It's a French Map & using the Paris Meridian puts everything even further into the lake. It would be handy to be able to use Lat/Long on the modern map.
