Clonhugh House, I think (GeoHive 25" link). Per the NIAH: Detached five-bay two-storey Italianate country house, built in 1867, with projecting single-bay pedimented breakfront and projecting Ionic entrance porch to centre. Various two-storey extensions to the northwest. Now in use as a private dwelling.

Sharon Corbet The greenhouse in that 1948 shot is on the 25" but not here, so we are before the 25" survey of 1911.

I was delighted to find this picture! I needed something for a short, humorous post about germs for my twice weekly bunkaryudo.com blog. This was perfect for it.

LOC -- check your spelling; Pasteur, not Pastuer.

Richard Arthur Norton and Wystan: Thanks for the additional information and correction. We'll fix the source data next time we update the record.

I turned mirror view the date scratched on left lower corner, seems most likely 1/15/93 (71 years old), although in this picture looks a man in his middle 60's. That would make 1/15/83 when Dr. Pasteur was 61? There's a picture he is wearing a bonnet, looking much older. I wonder if George Grantham Bain, obtained the negative 18 years beyond Pasteur's death and scratched it 9/10/13.
