looks like a C-130 PC(4) USAF 1960's vintage on left - center

Well, the Hercules is a USMC KC-130F its Bu number looks like 148893 to me. The code QD readily visible on the tail belonged to VMGR-152. Stig

Flew out of Dong Ha on one on my first R&R!!! I was in full combat gear with my M-14. The field kept on getting hit by mortars every time he try to land. The pilot radioed the control shack and told them to tell me to start running down the runway and they would have the tail gate down. I started running, the plane slowed and the crew grabbed me and dragged me on board!!! True story!!!

I doubt this photo was taken in Feb, 2012, probably 1972; the plane was disposed of in 1988. I was in Coast Guard in 1972 and stationed in Elizabeth City NC as was CG 1351 (the plane in the picture). CG 1351 was the first plane to be used on "Great Lakes Ice Patrol" (Project Icewarn, COAST GUARD/NASA/NOAA), in 1975; we flew out of Nasa's Lewis Research Center, Clevland Ohio.
