The F-4C Phantom II (USAF Ser No. 63-7645) caught in this photo would be destroyed in a mid-air collision over Thailand on October 8, 1967. Fortunately, both crewman would safely eject and be recovered.

I doubt this photo was taken in Feb, 2012, probably 1972; the plane was disposed of in 1988. I was in Coast Guard in 1972 and stationed in Elizabeth City NC as was CG 1351 (the plane in the picture). CG 1351 was the first plane to be used on "Great Lakes Ice Patrol" (Project Icewarn, COAST GUARD/NASA/NOAA), in 1975; we flew out of Nasa's Lewis Research Center, Clevland Ohio.
