    Any idea where this was taken? I know this is a bit of work but it may be worth adding each picture to your map. It means people could check the NLI flickr page and see any photos taken in their area! As info comes in, this one'll find its way to the map too...     This is more then likely John Adair's City Bakery at 18 Lady Lane, Waterford. He's listed in P.M. Egan's 1894 directory.
    I think the bakery occupied the site of the Library on the corner of Lady Lane & Bakehouse Lane.
    The foundation stone of the library was laid in 1903.

    Brilliant shot, rule the world with loaves and guns. Is that a sprinkling of snow on the ground? Note the sign "Machine made bread"? The exact opposite to todays boast of hand made everything!

    War is tragic :( My father drove a bread bike in Arnhem during WW2 , he was a baker for 50 years , he didn't speak often of the war except D day xoxo I miss him so much , thank you for sharing this poignantly telling photograph xoxo
