Great older (colourised or colour ) shot and increases the evidence , along with language groupings classified as Finnic in the Finno-Ugric . Also of the yurt-like or tipi-like dwelling, nomadic cultures travelled both west ( these Sámi) and east (Amer-Indian) from the ancient Eurasian steppes or Siberian tundra.Cultural similarities .Great use of all materials including their art and clothing.

I cannot recall seeing an earlier color print. I mean, this is photochrom, it is NOT hand painted. It is quite nice.

I cannot imagine living in Lapland of Norway or Finland in these tents. It amazes me that any peoples remained in the northern zones instead of migrating south.

Amazingly large smokeholes at the top. Interesting how population pressure can force people into relatively inhospitable environments.
