Kovalan pihan "Kokkiaitta", yhä paikoillaan. Takana näkyy aittojen väleissä kulkevat pihapiirin täysin sulkeneet aidat, tarpeen tuolloin petoeläimien takia.

Tämäkin aittakuva ja mies aitan rappusilla on Kovalasta. Vanha isäntä Reino Kovala oli paikalla pikkupoikana ja muisti oheisen keskustelun: Carl Bengts oli maalannut teoksen talon lehmistä ja kysyi Axel Gallenilta neuvoa teoksensa hinnoitteluun. "Pistä hinnaksi 4000 markkaa, sanoi Axel, on sen verran hienosti maalattu lehmä", hän perusteli ehdotustaan. Tämä oli 20- luvulla kokeneen puusepän/ammattimiehen vuosipalkka.
