No cable tram lines in King Street - this photo must be must be pre-1894. Henry King did take other pictures of King Street, one of them dated 1888 like the Bayliss photo - www.flickr.com/photos/powerhouse_museum/2363501042/ . There were flags and bunting celebrating the centenary.

This is not a "home," as captioned. This is a photo of the First Chinese Church of Christ located at 1054 S. King St. in Honolulu. It was designed by famed architect Hart Wood, and built in 1929. Looking up Fort St across Hotel St. The Hub and Kress were still there in the 70's. A McDonald's went into the Hub's building.
