Not much visible on this one. However I think the letter seen is an 'O'. Two aircraft carried such a code letter, HX902 and NT225. Since HX902 was not using it until late October 1944, when in principal the invasion stripes were gone, I think this is NT225 with 248 Sq. The unit received this aircraft early June 1944 and would with certainty have used such prominent stripes. Stig
