Nature is an eternal source of inspiration for many artists throughout history and all over the globe.

Be charmed by the personality of Brisbane through the works of 20th Century artist, William Bustard, regarded for his mastery in capturing Queensland’s distinctive sense of light. Bustard (1894 – 1973) was an artist, illustrator and stained-glassWINDOW designer, whose work continues to portray an optimistic view of a changing city. On arriving to Brisbane in 1921, he became captivated by the brilliant Queensland light and depicted this unique characteristic of our landscape through his multi-faceted art practice. Bustard was also acclaimed for his stained-glass designs – a craft which literally captures the light – with many of his detailed hand-drawn designs included in the exhibition. There's a Leica down nr the btm right!! Think my first camera must have come from Turner's, it was only a Kodak but early '60's we were mad about darkrooms and all that photo gear they sold!!
