Dragon G-ACGK was operated by Vacuum Oil but I do not have a note of its exploits in Hungary, unless it was en route Java – history: 6033 DH.84 (Gipsy Major #5226/5227) Regd G‑ACGK [CofR 4357] 1.6.33 to Eric Cecil Gordon England, general manager and nominee for Vacuum Oil Co Ltd, Hanworth. CofA 3968 issued 30.6.33; dd 3.7.33. Flown on tour to Java; returned to UK 11.33. Flown on survey flight England-Australia and return 12.33-1.34 (56 days and 340 f/hrs), piloted by Vacuum’s sales manager Henry J [Edward] White. Delivered 9/10.7.34 and regd [CofR 5227] 11.7.34 to Highland Airways Ltd, Inverness, named "Loch Ness". Ditched 20yds off beach in Moray Firth, nr Inverness 8.1.35 following power loss caused by carburetor icing; pilot Eric Coleman. Salvaged but not rebuilt. Regn cld 12.34 as wfu (sic) (or 2Q.35).
